ABOUT

Diana Cerezino (b. 1988) is a Portuguese painter, born in Lisbon and based in Barreiro.

Her paintings use the visual language of the grid to explore perception, memory, and the relationship between order and intuition, inviting moments of quiet attention through subtle shifts in colour, light, and surface.

The Language of the Grid

The grid has been central to Diana Cerezino’s visual language for as long as she can remember. Drawn to the structure of squared notebooks and curious about colour combinations and patterns, most of her spare time was spend filling books with repeated marks, colours, and patterns.

That early fascination has evolved into the foundation of a painting practice that explores perception, memory, and the relationship between order and intuition.
